Heard at my house tonight

So I am upstairs reading a book, while Chris and the kids are downstairs playing chase. Then I hear them counting and running. Next thing it's quiet. Chloe comes sauntering into our room and says "have you seen someone with a penis?" , "I don't know where they are?" I said "do you mean the boys?" She say's "oh, yeah the boys." Will you come help me look for them?

I am still laughing. Sometimes I wonder what is going on in that head of her's!!

OMSI

It's been a while!! I have ventured into the world of Facebook- let me tell you it is addictive! I found these cool word challenges and brain teasers- needless to say I spend way too much time doing them.

So I am attempting to update the blog. For Christmas we got the coolest gift from my sister Shannon and her husband Jason. We got a family membership to OMSI. We've already gone a couple of times. Chloe and Caleb both love to go and see all of the exhibits- especially the hands on ones!! For our first two visits the play area- with a sandbox, water area, science lab area and tree forest area were a big hit. Oh and I can't forget the Live Animals!! They saw a hairless rat, a huge spide and some fish. Chloe liked looking at dead animals under the microscope, zooming in and out.

Next time we go we are planning to go in the invention area. They have lots of hands on science tests. We watched a few last time. A plastic bottle fills with water and air and the pressure builds up and makes it shoot up a rod that it is attached to. Same thing with just air on a small rocket looking thing. I think Chloe is going to be my scientist. She loves this stuff. We're hoping to see the human body. She loves looking at the bones and blood vessels.

Well that's all for now. Hopefully I will have more later this week. We are heading to the big Agricultural fest at the Expo Center tonight. So look for lots of pictures of Caleb with tractors!!

Potty Time

Caleb is a big boy now!! He is using the potty (with my help). He does both pee and poop. And of course uses this now as a stalling tactic with nap time and bedtime. He lays down and about 5 min later he says "oh, I need to go potty." Of course we just had him go when we were putting on jammies but I wouldn't want him to go pee in his diaper and be all upset that we didn't listen to him. So we only let it happen one time then it's time for bed.

Now Chloe will say "I'm going to go potty" and sometimes she'll say "Caleb do you need to go?" So today after lunch she asked Caleb if he needed to go. She moved his little potty out so that he could sit on that while she sat on the big one. Then they asked for some books to look at to help them go poop. I know, I know they will hate me one day for posting the picture but it is just too cute!!
