Caleb's 1st Day of 4's Preschool

This last week was a busy one. Chloe's 2nd week of school, and Caleb's first week of Preschool. He is at the same school as last year. He has one boy in his class from last year. And they have playtime in the gym or outside with all of the preschool classes, so he is able to see quite a few friends from his class last year. He loves his teacher, and so far is loving preschool.

Chloe's 1st Soccer Game

Wow! 5 & 6 year olds playing soccer is pretty exciting to watch. Chloe had her first game this past weekend. For this age group they play 3 on 3. They also only play half field. So Chloe and 2 other kids switched in and out with 3 others about every 10-15min. for an hour. They all tried their hardest and gave it their best.

Chloe's 1st Day of Kindergarten!!

I know, I know I can't believe it. She's old enough to go to grade school now! She was so excited getting ready for school. Chloe picked some flowers with Grandma Patti at her house yesterday and they arranged them in a little decorated can for her teacher. Then the this morning with flowers in hand, Chloe, Caleb, Chris and I all walked the 2 or 3 blocks to school.

Today was about the only day that we get to go in the classroom. It was neat to go in with her and find her cubby area, where to hang up her coat, and look all around the classroom. I was doing great until I looked up and saw another mom crying. I don't know about you but it is almost totally impossible not to start crying yourself when you see that. I managed to hide it from Chloe, and we said goodbye with smiles on our faces.

As we walked home, Chris asked me "what's so different about Kindergarten, then preschool last year?" I told him "nothing, except she's in the grade school now, it's just different." Guys just don't understand. Next year will be even more emotional for me I am afraid- Chloe gone all day in school and Caleb in Kindergarten- but that's next year so I have a while 'til that happens.

Caleb and I walked up to pick her up. And she promptly went all grumpy on us. Who knows? I am slowly getting bits and pieces out of her as to what she did on her first day of school. I think she learned lots of rules!! And who wouldn't get tired and grumpy hearing lots of rules?

2nd lost tooth.

Well this week Chloe lost her 2nd tooth. Good thing too, those ones coming in behind are almost as big as the ones that fell out!!!

She wiggled that tooth for a long while this time. She knew what to expect and I think she was a little nervous because of that. She actually wrote the ToothFairy a note that said "I was a little nervous, now I am not I love it and you". She got one shiny dollar coin. Showed Chris and I and then promptly went and hid it so "Caleb can't find it."

Here's some pics. of her new cheesy grin!!

She wouldn't smile in this one, but it's a good one of her gap and the huge teeth that were already coming in back behind her baby teeth.

Sticking her tongue through the gap.

Nice smile, holding her Tooth Fairy pillow.
