Day 1- NO Training Wheels

Here are some videos and pictures of our first day of trying out no training wheels for the kiddos! They did great!

Trip to the Zoo on a Sunny Day!

So here in the Portland area it did not hit 60 degrees for the year until earlier this week! (It's April!) It was also 60 on Friday and Chloe had no school so we decided after lunch we would head to the Zoo! 2 hours after leaving the house and finding no spots at our regular Max stop, the Zoo parking lot being full, and driving all the way back to Beaverton to a different Max stop, we finally made it to the Zoo. The kids were still eager to get inside and see the animals. We hadn't been since last summer. We lasted about 2hours inside. Good thing we have a membership! Chloe was great and loving looking and reading everything. Caleb was ready to move on from each exhibit after being there only about 10sec. He did however have lots of fun in the Lion area, since they have phones he can pick up and listen to. Here's some pictures too. Oh and a video of Caleb dancing while we were waiting for the Max.

Caleb's stitch

Eventful playdate today. Went swimming with the kids and some friends at the rec center. Caleb decided to jump in to my friend but didn't jump out far enough and hit his head on the side of the pool as he entered the water. Head started bleeding right away, got it stopped after about 5min. So we got back in the water for the last 20min.

Getting dressed and pulling his shirt over his head it started bleeding a little again. Stopped it, then he touched it and it started up again. Went to the Dr, who sent us to Urgent Care. He got one stitch to close it up. I was almost crying watching them put the numbing medicine in, not fun seeing them stick a needle in his head, or hear the screaming and crying from the pain of the needle. So glad when it was over that I got to hold him. Now he is totally fine. Couldn't even tell that anything happened to him today.

**oh and he's really happy he doesn't have to do swimming lessons for a week, because it means no showers (he hates showers)!!(he's looking on the bright side!)
