My dear sweet, trying Chloe........

well it's been a while since Chloe really did something to shock me. Tonight we needed to get her ready to leave (we were going to the Roller Derby), I went up stairs and found her shirt off and soaking wet. Hum... what did she do? She said it was from rain... Then I noticed a cup missing from her room and asked where it was. She said in the computer room. I went and found it. Then she says to me "the fish aren't moving". I turn around to see them belly up in the fish tank. These goldfish we have had for 12 YEARS! Chris gave them to me for Valentine's day the year we got married.

So over a course of some questions and answers I come to find out that she decided the tank was too dirty, scooped the fish out of the tank and put them in the bathroom sink, where she proceeded to scrub them with soap. She says to me "they were swimming around in there a little bit until I put the soap in the sink" They are probably both dead now. :- ( (oh and just in case you were wondering where Chris and I were when this was happening- we were downstairs watching an NFL game for about 10 minutes. I actually said at one point "it's pretty quiet upstairs I wonder what she's doing?" I should've listened to my gut and gone upstairs to check things out!)

And while I was in the bathroom I found a bunch of hair in the garbage. Turns out Chloe decided to cut her hair sometime in the last couple of days. I thought it looked a little different today!

I am so not looking forward to the teen years with her!!!

I'm so sorry about your fish! They've always been at your house for the entire time we've known you.

Serayah tried to pet one of her first fish. Yeah... that didn't turn out so well. Worst part was, that I couldn't figure out where it had gone to. It wasn't in the aquarium, so I asked Serayah about it (she was 3 or so) and she told me she'd taken it out to pet it. We looked and looked all over her room... no fish.

The next day, I do some laundry and lo and behold... out of the dryer comes a very stiff, dehydrated goldfish. Apparently she'd put it in her pocket? Yeah..

Needless to say, the clothes all got re-washed.
